"I was aware that I had to have bunion surgery for years but I had continued to put it off because I was scared of the procedure and the recuperation time. My physician suggested that I go speak with Dr. David Dixon because it was becoming unbearable for me to work. I am a flight attendant so there was no way of getting around walking. I remember having to take off my shoes (even my comfortable in-flight flats) every time I had a moment because both feet throbbed so badly. I went to Dr. Dixon and was immediately impressed with his comforting demeanor. He explained everything to me in a clear and precise manner. He eased my anxiety and I agreed to have the procedure on both feet. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it was done. I was relatively pain free the same day of the surgery and by the next day was completely able to get around with crutches. Dr. Dixon also did something that most doctors do not do in New York City; he called me at home to see how I was doing. I was so impressed with Dr. Dixon I recommended him to many of my flight attendant co-workers who have been completely pleased with the results they have gotten from him. I started going to Dr. Dixon in 2003 and have since remained a loyal patient. He took care of other problems I have had with my feet, including a hammertoe, and neuroma surgery on each foot. Although my heredity includes ongoing problems with bad feet, I feel very comfortable and in good hands with Dr. Dixon. His office manager Marcia and his staff are well organized and really wonderful people, they have been with him for years. This is also a testimony to Dr. Dixon’s demeanor. Dr. Dixon was very thorough in his explanation and what my expectation would be from having the recommended surgery.
